Live or Virtual … Interesting October B2B Events

ANNUITAS is participating in a few live events this month, and we wanted to get the word out as some are new, some are virtual and all have a strong B2B marketing pedigree.

Going on this week is the 7th annual MarketingProfs B2B Marketing Forum in Boston. Carlos Hidalgo from ANNUITAS will be speaking on Moving From a Tactical to Strategic Demand Approach to Increase Closed Sales during one of the workshop sessions on Wednesday morning, which plays well into our focus on Strategy here at ANNUITAS. There is much more to a demand generation strategy than deciding which tactics you want to use next quarter. Carlos will be speaking on the need for a defined B2B demand generation strategy and how to create one that will address the changing needs of Buyer 2.0 … a struggle most B2B marketers have been facing as our buyer’s behaviors are often changing faster than we can keep up with.

Next week I will be speaking at a new show, the Digital Pulse Summit on Wednesday and Thursday 10/17-18. Also in Boston, Digital Pulse is co-located with the Inbound Marketing Summit and CMO Pulse Summit at the Hynes Convention Center. This event is intriguing, as they look to address how to successfully transition from content management to strategic customer experience. Many B2Bs are struggling to build out their content strategy, but many others have embraced content strategy and inbound marketing with great success. The thing I like about this show is how they are looking to discuss “what’s next” for content marketing, and how to capitalize on the success of all the great content being produced.

Scott Liewehr, the CEO of Digital Clarity Group which is organizing the event put it well when he said “… CMOs are facing real challenges in delivering relevant and contextual digital experiences to their customers. As content management, digital marketing and big data all evolve into cohesive solutions, we hope this event can provide some clarity to the CMO’s challenge.  I look forward to connecting those practitioners, technology vendors, and agencies in Boston this fall.” I’ll be there talking about People, Process, and Technology: The Rise of the Marketing Technologist on Wednesday during the show.

Finally, on Thursday October 17th ANNUITAS will be participating in our first-ever virtual event … Marketing’s Next Move, led by technology companies Demandbase and Adobe. This one is exciting because a group of All-Star Marketers will be sharing their thoughts on the future of B2B marketing and features speakers and appearances from ANNUITAS, Adobe, SAP, Docusign, SiriusDecisions, Demandbase, Hubspot, Babcock & Jenkins and more. As a group we will be examinging how marketing technology and changing buyer behaviors are driving innovation in B2B marketing.
